Settled in: 1875 by Trance Medium George Colby

Officially Founded in: 1894 as “Southern Cassadaga Spiritualist Camp” (SCSCMA)

after a spirit guide named Seneca led him to the location during a seance in Iowa. The charter for the SCSCMA was granted on December 18, 1894. Colby signed a warranty deed for 35 acres of land to the association on January 3, 1895. The camp was an immediate success like their sister city in new york (Lily Dale). the first meeting attracted more than 100 people to see mediums & psychic demonstrations.

The camp is now 57 acres and is home to many mediums, psychics, and Energy healers.
